Oscar Lozoya began his creative interests with drawing and painting and then became a professional musician in his teens. Then he discovered photography. After starting his own studio, Oscar began shooting commercial photography. He found that many of the same techniques and models used in commercial photography could also be used in fine art photography. Lozoya was named Photographer/Director of the Year for five consecutive years, 1996 through 2000 through the Professional Photographers Association of New Mexico. Oscar became a member of The Professional Photographers of America in 1996, and has thirteen prints accepted into the National Loan Collection. Oscar's artwork is exhibited in museums internationally. Lozoya's photographic art is represented in the United States by the Andrew Smith Gallery in Santa Fe and in Latin America by Dr. Enrique Cortazar of the National Fine Arts Institute of Mexico.
